FUN FACT: Sounds & Smiles was named by my 7 year old son because: "You work on sounds and smile a lot!"
Welcome! I am a 2006 graduate of Augustana College and a 2008 graduate of University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point, where I earned a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
I have over 15 years of experience in a variety of settings: public schools, private schools, outpatient pediatric therapy, and teletherapy. I love helping children grow their confidence to communicate effectively with others.
After many years living away from home, we moved back to Cedar Rapids-- truly where my heart is. Sounds & Smiles was named by my youngest son. The name captures my goal of high quality therapy while making children feel valued.
In my free time, I enjoy performing in community theater, singing, fitness, and coffee dates with friends.

I BELIEVE
Individualized therapy is essential for progress. Language development starts EARLY! Habits are hard to break. Being proactive saves time and frustration. Parent involvement makes all the difference. Self-esteem matters. Kids that feel good about themselves will thrive.
